An internet connection is needed to create previews and PDFs. Measurements are sent to the server for each request; this app does not save them there. Use Save measurements to keep your own file.

Pattern updates automatically as values change. All visible measurements follow the selected unit; switching units converts the current values rather than changing the body size.

Print check: choose US Letter or A4 before export. The PDF starts with an assembly map, then includes a true calibration square for the selected unit and A1/A2/B1 assembly codes. Print actual size, not “fit to page”. Trim on the solid box, then tape so matching red JOIN codes meet (A1 to A1).

The interface, live summary, seam-segment coordinates, and PDF guide follow the selected measurement unit. The drafting engine normalizes all inputs to centimeters internally so the tiled PDF can print at true size. This remains a drafting aid: always verify the PDF calibration square and fit a toile before cutting final fabric.

Assembly guide

Cut two mirrored sets from coutil or stable toile fabric. Keep grainlines vertical and label every panel before separating pieces.
Staystitch waistlines, match waist notches first, then join panels from center front toward center back. Press seams open or toward the stronger layer.
Install the busk on the center-front edges before joining lining and outer layers. Test closure alignment before topstitching.
Sew boning channels over or beside each seam pair. Insert temporary bones for the toile fitting, then replace with final steel bones.
Reinforce center back with a lacing bar layer, set eyelets symmetrically, and lace from waist outward for balanced tension.

Fitting and symmetry tips

Measure left and right halves from center front to center back at bust/underbust, waist, and hip. Draft from the larger side if asymmetry is small, then fit the toile.
Mark the waist tape on the body and on the toile. The waistline must stay level when laced with the planned gap.
Check that each sewn seam pair lands smoothly from notch to notch. Even trued paper seams can need correction after fabric, posture, and flesh compression are introduced.
For the toile, use a temporary lacing strip and a spoon busk or straight front tape so you can evaluate tension without damaging the final panels.
If wrinkles point toward one seam, remove width from the receiving panel rather than trimming all seams equally.
Do not reduce aggressively on the first draft. Make comfort and breathing checks before committing to fashion fabric.
